Who we are

PA Care Path is a small, independent project with one goal: make it easier for older adults in Southeast Pennsylvania — and the people who care for them — to find the help they're entitled to, without the paperwork and confusion that make so many people give up.

A note from the person who built this

My name is David. I live in Philadelphia, and I made this to help my mom as she ages, and to help my friends who are also taking care of their aging parents.

This isn't a company or a government office. It's something I made to help, and I'd rather it be small and trustworthy than big and slick.

If this helps you at all, in any way — or if you have ideas for how it might help more — I'd genuinely love to hear from you.

What PA Care Path is for

What it's not

  • It's not a final decision. Only the agencies decide who qualifies. We help you understand and apply — we never tell you "you qualify."
  • It's not legal or financial advice, and it's not a government agency.
  • It's not for emergencies. If someone is in danger or needs urgent medical help, call 911. To report elder abuse in PA, call 1-800-490-8505.
  • It doesn't handle complex cases. Asset spend-downs, trusts, transfers, and appeals should go to the PA Health Law Project or SeniorLAW Center — not be worked out here.
  • It only covers Southeast PA for now — Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware counties.
  • It never asks for your Social Security number, bank details, or passwords. You bring those to the agency yourself.
